Back in June of 2019 Dennis Enarson set out to make the part of a lifetime; something he and the BMX community would be proud of. The goal was to capture BMX riding that lives on throughout time. He spent 8 months hammering away at his goal. This part was 90% complete before Covid hit and shut down plans for filmmaker, Rich Forne, to come out from Spain to San Diego to get Dennis’ last few bangers. Instead the two finished editing the part from other sides of the world.
Anyone that knows BMX already knows Dennis’ explosive energy and zero regard for gravity makes him one of the most savage humans on a bike.
And yet nothing could prepare you for the heaviness of RIGHT HERE. This is one of the gnarliest parts you're ever going see.

BMX Flatland is a style of freestyle BMX riding where riders perform tricks on a flat surface, without ramps, rails, or other obstacles, by maneuvering and balancing through intricate moves, often described as a mix between artistic cycling and breakdancing; it's considered a form of artistic cycling on a BMX bike where the focus is on technical maneuvers on flat ground.

How medal event is judged:
Head to head, 8-person competition in bracketed "battle-style” format.
The 120-second countdown clock begins as the first athlete attempts their trick. Athletes can stop their 120-second clock after they complete a trick/combination of tricks (or miss) by raising their hand, at which point the other competing athlete then attempts their trick/combination of tricks and their 120-second clock begins. This process continues back and forth until 120 seconds have expired for both athletes and the judges declare a battle winner.

How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 8 athletes participating in 3 40 second runs each. Best run counts, scored 1 - 100. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.
BMX Park is a genre of freestyle bike riding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarter pipes, and ledges arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Riders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, jumps, and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. The athletes will complete as many runs as possible within the jam session, with their best run score counting towards final ranking. Competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs) and use of the course.
